Green Office Program
The Green Office assists UNSW staff reduce the environmental impact of office work through waste minimisation, energy conservation, workplace ecology and the purchase of environmentally preferred office products. We aim to make environmental alternatives easy, convenient and cost-effective for UNSW staff.
We have an "outreach" role in promoting the principles and practices of office environmental responsibility, through sharing of knowledge and experience with other universities, government, private organisations and the general community.
We sell 'Precision' remanufactured toner cartridges and collect used cartridges for recycling.
Used stationery and internal envelopes are now managed through the Enviro-Collective of the Student Guild: enviro@guild.unsw.edu.au , xtn 56719.

- This UNSW corporate due dilligence program works directly with Faculties and Schools to inform them of their legal responsibilities with regards to compliance with environmental law and regulations. Whist Faculties, Schools, and relevant staff remain directly accountable for legal compliance, the Green Lab Program provides support and information to assist the acheivement of compliance with environmental law and regulations.
- The focus of the Green Lab Program for 2008 is finalising and piloting the training program, initially in the Faculty of Science via the standard UNSW web based system for teaching and learning activities (My eLearning Vista). Upon validation and refinement, the environmental compliance induction training program will be rolled out accross other relevant Faculties.
